Syl Hildebrandt - writer, director, and monster creation

My name is Syl Hildebrandt. I am a film student in my final semester. I have been awarded multiple grants and scholarships to write and direct my short films. I have also worked in theatre and live television. I am currently working under a research fellowship with my University to make my final project as an undergraduate. I am inspired by horror, surrealist, psychosexual and silent film. My biggest inspirations are Fritz Lang and Jim Henson. One of my grants was to learn to create my own monster designs which can be seen in my shorts. I plan to venture into puppetry and stop motion for my current project, entitled Golden Apple.
